Instagram is one of the most popular social networks on a global level. According to Statista‘s Fall 2019 most popular social networks of teenagers in the United States, Instagram(35%) is the second most popular social networking site after Snapchat(44%). People use it to post pictures of themselves, check up on their friends, family, and to keep up with their favourite celebrities. Instagram is now used for business as well where influencers post stories or posts of companies or brands that they have partnered with, to promote it. they use their following and fan base to promote whatever product they’re paid to promote.

And according to Sprout Social, 75% of 18-24 year olds, 57% of 25-30 year olds, 47% of 30-49 year olds, 23% of 50-64 year olds and 8% of 65+ year olds use Instagram on the daily. A survey as of January 2020 shows that the top 4 leading countries based on the number of Instagram users are the United States with 120 million, India with 80 million, Brazil with 77 million and Indonesia with 63 million users. The education demographics for Instagram users includes those with high school education or less (33%), those with college education (37%) and those with more than a college degree (43%).
