As a student who is graduating from college this year, I have an itch to travel that I’m sure other students have too. Deciding where to go first is the hardest decision to make, but I have compiled a list of the top ten places everyone should see in their lifetime.
1. The Great Blue Hole in Belize
The Great Blue Hole is a sinkhole just off the coast of Bezile which was created by several episodes of quaternary glaciation. The cave flooded full of water as the ocean levels began to rise and is now a popular spot for scuba divers, as the hole is 407 feet deep. A rare natural phenomenon everyone should witness.
2. The Sea of Stars
The Sea of Stars is located on Vaahdoo Island in the Maldives. What looks like a mirrored image of the stars is actually the product of marine microbes called phytoplankton—and now scientists think they know how some of these life-forms create their brilliant blue glow.
3. The Grand Canyon
One of the seven wonders of the world, it is 277 miles long and 18 miles wide of canyons and boulders alike. This natural beauty attracts millions of tourists every year.
4. The Enchanted Well in Brazil
This well is located in Chapada Diamantina National Park in Brazil. This giant welll is 120 feet deep and the water is so clear that you can see the ancient rocksand tree trunks at the bottom of the pool. At a certain point during the day, light comes through a crevice and creates a blue reflection on the water.
5. Antelope Canyon
This colourful canyon is located in Arizona in The United States. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Lower Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew, both as beautiful as each other.
Is there anywhere in the world you have been that you think everyone should see? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear from you!
