A few days ago, a cabin i Trysil, Norway, commonly referred to as The Bakke Cabin, was put out for sale for 22.9 million kroner. That’s 2.5 million euros!
“You can’t just put a cabin like that for sale, and expect it to be sold in a week”, real estate agent, Petter Birkrem told local newspaper Østlendingen.
Technically he was right. Eight days later the cabin was sold, but Birkrem can’t say how much the cabin ended up being sold for. If it was sold for the asking price it would be a new record at the popular ski resort, according to the local newspaper.
The cabin has 17 rooms, wheras 11 of them are bedrooms with a total of 38 beds. One of the rooms is a spa room, and another appears to be a wine cellar. Obviously you’ll find both a sauna and a jacuzzi inside the cabin.
Last year Birkrem sold former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher’s cabin in the same area for a little over €2 m, which holds the record until we get a figure for The Bakke Cabin. Added togheter, that’s close to €5 m for only two properties. Imagine that. In addition Birkrem tells Østlendingen he has sold more than 1700 residential units in Trysil.
PS: If you have roughly 5 million euro laying about you can buy an entire neighborhood of cabins at the foot of the Trysil mountain. But you better act fast. Østlendingen reports bids in the size of €5,2m have been submitted.
