Nigeria, officially named the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is a diverse West African country. Nicknamed the “Giant of Africa,” . Nigeria is home to hundreds of different ethnicities, languages with more than 520 spoken languages . It is true that Nigeria has the a large population of over 200million people making it the country with the highest population in Africa, the seventh-most populous country in the world and indeed the largest black population in the world. Nigeria also has the largest economy in Africa with huge deposits of both human and natural resources. Nigerians have been outstanding all over the world, achieving great feats from sports to business and science, doing the most any where they are found all over the world.

However, in most recent times Nigeria as a country has been going downward spiral and news about insecurity and bad leadership in the country has been giving the country a bad reputation, putting the country amongst the list of dangerous countries in the world. Despite all this happenings in Nigeria, the country still is an amazing one with beautiful and welcoming people, amazing and rich cultures, scenic and historic places, amazing food and so much more.

The country’s film industry, known as Nollywood, is one of the largest film producers in the world, second only to India’s Bollywood and home to Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa

Although there have been setbacks in this beautiful country, there’s quite a lot of fascinating and indeed captivating facts about Nigeria that people do not know or speak of. Nigeria has beautiful and breathtaking destinations to unwind, a profitable business market and citizens who are taking the world by storm.
