In recent years there has been an increase in internet use in sub -Saharan Africa, due to the massive investment in the telecommunication network by firms like Globalcom limited and MTN. We are in a digital revolution and Africa is lagging.

Africa has a young and vibrant population ready to take the world by storm. We can see African creators like Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Broda Shaggi being known all over the world.

The internet has made it easy for everyone to have access to information despite that social status despite this Africa has the largest number of people without internet access. The lack of internet access in Africa has led to stunted development in Africa. Internet access in available areas is also expensive and this also deters people from using the Internet. African leaders need to do more to help people have greater internet access.
