We are aware of the burdens that sanctions continue to impose on food companies continuing to operate after the pandemic during the most trying of years for the hospitality business. Cafes, supermarkets, pubs, bars, and social clubs must close, but they will still serve food and non-alcoholic beverages for takeout.
One way they continued serving their clients is by delivery or take-out. If you search for an exciting restaurant experience, during the first lockdown in March last year, many restaurants tried offering food delivery or collection. They continue to do so during the second lockdown.
Due to the extreme current situation, food companies have seen an increase in orders because ordering food right now is the only option.
These businesses have sought a way to deal with orders by recruiting additional employees or using more food delivery services.
In order to start selling, they signed up on third-party websites such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, etc., and took advantage of its ready-to-use technology, services, a network of operators, and loyal app users. Many of these logistics providers, too, use contactless delivery systems.
Let’s be honest, a takeaway fills our cravings while saving us from having to cook or clean up after another day of working from home.
With existing lock-down constraints and customer behavior shifting toward comfort and speed of delivery, one can only predict the rapid growth of third-party online food distribution platforms, and we anticipate the introduction of a few new companies to the industry.
