On 8 December, get your popcorn ready for the new Netflix film “Leave The World Behind”, starring a crazy cast: Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myha’la Herrold. It’s a post-apocalysis comedy, with Netflix teasing the film as a moment “When an idyllic getaway suddenly turns to chaos, trust quickly fray”. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam. Here’s what you have to know : it’s a story about a family holiday on Long Island which is disrupted by two unfamiliar individuals who deliver news of an enigmatic power failure. As the danger becomes more pressing, both families must determine the most effective way to endure the potential catastrophe, all while assessing their own positions in this disintegrating world.

23 years after the original, which I’m sure we’ve all seen dozens of times, our favourite chickens Ginger and Rocky return to face the dastardly Mrs Tweedy once again, whose diabolical new plan threatens all chickenkind (yet again). A new story will be on your screens on 15 December: after successfully escaping from Tweedy’s farm in a daring and risky manner, Ginger has found her perfect sanctuary – an idyllic island reserved exclusively for birds where the entire flock can coexist without any human interference. With Ginger and Rocky’s new daughter, Molly’s arrival, it seems that Ginger’s fairytale ending has finally come true. Nonetheless, the whole chicken population is now facing a threatening and novel danger on the mainland, spearheaded by a familiar adversary. Intent on safeguarding their freedom, even at the risk of endangerment, Ginger and her team are resolute in their determination to break in.
