Mongolia is one of the few countries that has developed its livestock farming through nomadic traditions in wilderness. In a harsh climate, Mongolian nomadic culture of livestock farming, which is in its purest form, has become a highly valued resource in the world.
I worked in the Mongolian casmere industry for 5 years. What i gained from working in this industry is an understanding of sustainable fashion and eco-friendly materials.
Cashmere products is considered a luxury in fashion industry because they are warm, soft , and durable and rarer than other fur raw materials. As it becomes really important to produce clothes in an environmentally and animal friendly way, the cashmere is the one of the eco-friendly and sustainable material.
Cashmere is the perfect piece to layer during the four seasons. It will keep you warm in the cold days of winter months and also it won’t make you sweat and feel uncomfortable during the warm days of spring and fall. It is key piece in creating a glam chic look with its light and soft feel.

So What is Mongolian cashmere ? and Why it is high quality?
High quality:
The quality of Mongolian cashmere is guarenteed by international quality standarts. Mongolian herders use sustainable procedures of combing cashmere and sort the goats by age, gender and colors which it is considered quality. Compared to cashmeres from other countries, we have a wide range of natural colors like white, beige, brown and grey.
Eco friendly:
Cashmere is organic product, so it is biodegradable and has no negative impact on soil, water or air. The factories works responsibly controlling use of water, energy and chemicals throughout the production process.
Timeless garment:
To deliver a product with a clear source and transparent production to the customer, it requires high responsibility and long time at each stages. Sustainable cashmere is more expensive , but the negative footprint is smaller and it lasts for decades. Mongolian cashmere has longer and finer fibers. This means your clothes last longer and do not pill as much.
