Like betting? I ask a couple of guys about gambling in Ireland. It’s that simple. Show me the money!

In my very first podcast episode, I talk about gambling in Ireland. In the past few years, it seems as though gambling advertisements are everywhere. You could be watching a basketball game (football if you’re in Europe, GAA in Ireland), and could see five commercials during the course of the match. The broadcasters will mention over/unders, and an entire segment may even be sponsored by a betting company. Uniforms are plastered with brand sponsorships from betting companies. It’s a big business.
My guests and I talk about how they got into gambling and their thoughts on the practice. Tom, my first guest is a former classmate of mine that got exposed to it as a child. Conor, once worked for an online gambling company. They both offer great insight and we learn it’s not all glamourous. The full segment is to come. Listen below.
Be sure to listen to my new podcast series ‘What the What?’ with Jah. In this podcast series I will be doing what any good New Yorker does- going on rants. But I’ll also be exploring various topics asking questions and seeking answers about whatever comes to mind since the last episode.
If you have any topics you would like covered, be sure to leave a comment. Also, let me know what you think about the episode in the comments.
