Maintaining a good level of physical fitness is something that we should all aspire to keep up with for our health but we must understand what being physically fit means.

Physical fitness is part of overall health. It means having a healthy body weight to be able to carry out fitness activities without wearing off easily.  Fitness varies in types e.g., specific fitness which refers to a person’s ability to master specific levels in the sport without getting tired easily. Being able to recognize and specify which type of training you want to work on would help it become an easier journey in physical fitness.

 Basically, there are 5 Pillars of Physical Fitness;

  • Power.
  • Speed.
  • Balance.
  • Flexibility.
  • Endurance.

Being able to regulate one’s flexibility, speed and balance would help the muscles of the body become stronger and healthier. The consistent strength and power muscle use would assist the body in getting accustomed to the regular body fitness regimen.

A Beverly Hills-based body fitness personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson tweeted the importance of exercising, keeping it simple, and starting with the basics in the path to body fitness exercise.

Maintaining body fitness can help boost the immune system and prevent disease invasion to the body. It can also help increase blood flow through regular exercising to keep the heart pumping more blood for body use. Regular exercising aids muscle strength as it increases the ability to do things twice efficiently. It also increases muscle flexibility making the individual more stretchy and able to confirm the body to several training exercises.

All these importance stresses the need to stay physically fit for the general health and maintenance of our mental and physical health status.
