I was born in Mongolia, where Buddhism is deeply woven into everyday life. Growing up, I was familiar with Buddhist teachings, rituals, and the idea of mindfulness.
However, I never truly understood what Yoga was. To me, it seemed like something distant and unrelated to my culture. Later in life, I realized that Buddhism and Yoga actually share many similarities, both emphasize mindfulness, meditation, self awareness, and freedom from suffering.

What is Yoga ?
Yoga’s physical postures and breath control techniques are combined with Buddhist movement, mindfulness and meditation techniques creating symmetry between physical energy and mental focus. This allows practitioners to develop spiritual awareness while balancing their bodies and minds.
After graduating from university, I stepped into a busy and demanding work environment. I was young, ambitious and ready to do anything to prove myself.
People around me would often say, ” You’re young, you won’t get tired. This is time to work hard.” So i did exactly that. In my early twenties, i worked tirelessly without taking proper days off or holidays. At first, I felt proud of my productivity and dedication. But slowly, the exhaustion began to build. I became mentallt drained and physically worn out, even though i tried to ignore the signs.
Eventually, I reached a point where i knew something had to change. I started searching for something that could bring me peace, something that would help me escape the constant pressure and stress of every work life. Around that time, meditation was becoming increasingly popular. I began studying what meditation truly meant and started practicing it regularly. It helped me reduce anxiety, organize my thoughts and find moment of stillness.
However, long hours of sitting at work led to back pain. I knew , i needed physical movement, but i didn’t want to lose the mental clarity meditation gave me. That’s when i discovered Yoga as the perfect bridge between the body and the mind.
Yoga quickly became one of my favorite practices. Through it, I started learning about my body. I also learned how to breathe properly, something sounds so easy yet so meaningful in my life. I really loved doing Yoga in my everyday life and feel more positive about life in general.
Looking back, Yoga was not just exercise for me. It was journey back to balance, a way of finding a little happiness in my life.
Yoga was the practice that helped me transform my exhaustion into strength and my chaos into inner peace.
