Joyner Lucas once said, “It’s easy to hate it’s harder to love”, which is a line that really resonated with me. Whenever I felt anger or hatred in my heart, I remembered that line and thought to myself, “Come on Morgan, think for a second. Try to understand. Be a better man”.
Turns out he said, “I’m easy to hate, I’m harder to love”…
So I repeatedly learned the life lesson of keeping my cool and battling the darkness in my spirit based on a lyric that I misheard. Thank you Joyner Lucas. And thank you also to my poor comprehension skills.
Anyway, Liverpool are absolutely terrible. They’re so bad that I got to the fourth paragraph without mentioning them. Or him…
Him being Cody Gakpo.
I don’t want to be mean to Cody, but if I’m going to be honest, I don’t particularly enjoy the way he plays the game. I prefer other players. I think that’s okay. I can be diplomatic.
He’s probably a good guy, but I just don’t care for him. Although he is a landlord so…
But this isn’t about Gakpo. This is about Liverpool. They’re boring. They’re slow. The players have SO MUCH MONEY that it’s hard to relate to them. The owners are billionaires, and as my recent Instagram feed has taught me, there are NO GOOD BILLIONAIRES.
I honestly wouldn’t mind as much if Liverpool were in the same league position, but the players were balling out, and the dropped points were mostly down to individual mistakes. I can accept mistakes because everyone makes them. And the person making the mistake will be held accountable by the millions of people watching and judging from afar. I don’t need to pile on when a mistake is obviously someone’s fault.
But this season is just meandering, which is terrible to use derogatively because it’s nice to look at a meander. A very underrated river feature. Especially from an aerial view. Man, I used to eat that up in geography class. I couldn’t wait to learn about erosion, deposition, levees. I even have a geography degree!
Okay I keep getting distracted. Liverpool are not very good. At this stage though, there’s no point hating the players. Even Gakpo. I hope he has a great career (somewhere else obviously). I hope his tenants pay reasonable rent and the living conditions are up to standard.
There’s nothing to gain from my distain of Liverpool. I’d be better off re-listening to lyrics I thought I knew and putting my geography degree to some sort of use.
