Is OnlyFans empowering women?

Since its launch, OnlyFans rapidly became popular thanks to the large number of creators that share pornographic content on the platform. During the pandemic many women joined the platform to share explicit content in an effort to make an income during these difficult times and because of the amazing advantages of the job, such as “being your own boss”, working at your own rhythm and doing whatever you feel comfortable doing, and of course the opportunity of “making a year’s salary in two weeks”.

Some media outlets have made sure that we know how amazing and empowering this experience can be, but there are other aspects of the job that have not been mentioned often enough; not even by the creators themselves. In this short radio-documentary Mars Aguirre, shares her experiences as a content creator for this platform.
