Irish fabrics are amazing. Salmon leather is an unusual fabric that I use a lot. Also, there is an amazing silk out of dairy waste.

We mostly focus on silhouettes and textures rather then color. We had a monochrome palette, but now we developed the printing so it is allowing us to add our own color.

About the hand painted collection, every piece has a mark, no piece is the same, that is another part of the brand. We do create these one of wearable art pieces. every garment has a different story.

We produce transeasonal collections (when you buy something in spring, summer that can translate in autumn, winter). There are links between spring, summer, autumn, winter, so you can build up the collection. There are links between the stories.

Over the last two years, every award that was given in the biggest colleges in the UK went to Irish designers. So, Irish design is really, really vibrant, but now it is up to Irish government to support the network here and really incubate the industry here. If they don’t do that, it will be a big section of Irish design lost.
