So many internationals that move over to Ireland get involved in local activities such as the Guinness Store House, Kilmainham Gaol (jail), and so much history of going to museums. Exploring the breathtaking landscapes, and the Irish hospitality is legendary that is much appreciated. Learning a bit of Gaelic and familiarizing with Irish customs can also help feel more connected to the surroundings.

Three students have shared their experience studying abroad and I hope with a listen to this Podcast of hearing their stories. That it can be inspirational for more international students to travel and study abroad away from home.

As an experience for myself, I have been in Ireland for three years myself. Two of the years was to study and play basketball at the college. It was very hard to manage but with the welcoming of the Irish culture and beautiful trails to walk through the gardens and trees. The nature was very relaxing and that is what makes Ireland such a joyful and beautiful country, for what all it has to offer.

International students have experienced social norms of making new friends and hopping into different pubs to experience the true culture in Ireland. Yet they still miss their families back home when they get homesick. But Ireland is a magical charming country that is always up on the bright side through meeting and making new friends to lift those with sad spirits into a great deal of craic.

Being in Ireland you would encounter friendly locals, stunning landscapes, and a vibrant cultural scene. The weather can be unpredictable, with frequent rain, but that just adds to the country’s lush greenery. From an inner city like Dublin to villages along the countryside, theres something for everyone. Plus, Irelands strong sense of community and rich history create a welcoming environment for residents from all walks of life.
