I went to La Roche-Posay, is it worth the hype?

This New-York based brand founded in the French town ‘La Roche Posay’ in 1975 has long been around. This brand continues to be manufactured in the town today but has recently begun trending across all platforms. It’s important to note what is special about this product and the town which it was made in. Over the summer, I had the opportunity to visit La Roche Posay and the town’s thermal spring, this is where the brand sources their water from for each of their products. Not only that, the town has a Thermal Centre as well, this is a spa that focuses mostly on thermal water treatments as the town has a long history of using these methods for various  skin conditions.

What would I reccomend?

The first product I would highly recommend is  the Hydraphase Hyaluronic Acid Rich Moisturiser. This moisturizer is great if you like a fresh and dewy finish, it’s a moisturizer that has longevity throughout the day and I’ve seen great results. My skin has a more natural even glow and I’ve noticed less breakouts or random pimples. This product is a 10/10 for me. It’s one of the first products I discovered and one that I will always come back to.

The next moisturizer I would recommend if you prefer a more matte finish, is the Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer. This moisturizer is quite different in comparison to the first mention I mentioned but a great second option I’ve found. It’s more of a choice for those with oily skin who prefer a hydrated moisturized look without the shine. Honestly, this is a moisturizer I mistakenly purchased, I am more of a combination skin type! So I mix the moisturizer with my choice of oil, preferably bio oil

Overall, there are still many products to try by La Roche-Posay but they have not let me down! In my opinion, It is with the hype. There are plenty more great reviews and suggestions out there but here were just a few of my personal favorites!
