Dublin is a great place to study. There is always a great atmosphere around the place throughout the year. It is also home to some of the best colleges in Europe such as Trinity College, UCD, TUD, DCU, DBS, Griffith College and IADT. I am doing an MA in Journalism and Media Communications course in Griffith College currently which is an enjoyable and worthwhile course.
If you are a new student who has just done the Leaving Cert and you are wondering which town or city to study in then you should consider Dublin. It is a vibrant city with a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming city. All the colleges above have their different strengths that suit certain students. Trinity College has a strong reputation as a college outside of Ireland and is ranked Ireland’s no 1 University and the 12th Most International University in 2022. If you want to have a break from study there lots of top quality pubs in restaurants in Dublin to enjoy and have a look at. If the person who has just started college is interested in sport then she or he can join a society in college or a sports club that is nearby.

College in Dublin can be an expensive pursuit with costs of renting houses and student accomodation. However the positives outweigh the negatives and I believe Dublin is a great place to come and study especially if you want to try something new and different. Dublin is a highly regarded city to study and having a balance between college and activities in the capital is the right approach.
