I am going to say something that might upset a few people. ChatGPT is no longer the best AI tool out there. Neither is DeepSeek. And the one that beat them both is completely free.
Before you close this tab, hear me out. I have spent weeks testing this model against every major AI assistant on the market. I made a full video breaking it down.
Here is a short glimpse of it.
The problem with what we have
Let me set the scene. Every AI model right now is racing to beat ChatGPT. That is the benchmark. And many of them are getting there. Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, they are all improving fast.
I was a DeepSeek user. I genuinely liked it. It had almost everything you would want from a personal AI assistant. The reasoning was solid, the interface was clean, and the responses were detailed.
But there was one major problem: the servers could not keep up. You’d be mid‑conversation, and it would just freeze. Busy servers. Try again later.
For a tool you rely on daily, that is a dealbreaker.
And by the end of this post, I think you will at least want to try it for yourself.
And let me be fair to DeepSeek. They built that model on a reported $5 million budget, compared to the billions behind ChatGPT.
Though Google’s Gemini is great at generating hyper-realistic images, it loses the context of the prompt in the middle of converstation.
For Claude, the features, such as generating images, are not available yet. They are also facing so much controversy from their users regarding their usage limits.
What they achieved with those resources is genuinely impressive. But reliability matters.

Enter Grok 3
Then I tried Grok 3. Elon Musk’s AI model. It changed everything for me. Here is what sets it apart.
First, the reasoning. When you ask Grok 3 a complex question, it does not just throw an answer at you. It thinks. It takes its time. You can see it working through the problem step by step. The depth of its responses is something I have not seen consistently from any other free model.
Second, the output quality. The answers are structured, detailed, and actually useful. It does not pad responses with filler. It does not give you five paragraphs when two will do. It gives you what you need in the way you would expect it.
Third, and this is the big one, it is free. Grok 3 has a premium tier, but the free version is more than enough for most users. I have been using the free version daily and have not felt the need to upgrade.
This video explains the reasoning of the LLMs in a simplified manner.
I am not saying the other models are bad. ChatGPT is still strong. Claude has its strengths. DeepSeek was genuinely impressive for what it was. But when you factor in quality, speed, reliability, and price, Grok 3 is the one I keep coming back to.
In this podcast, Neuralink and the Future of Humanity by Lex Fridman, Elon Musk toured his AI Model Grok 3 capabilities and the brilliant minds behind it.
Should you switch?
Look, I am not telling you to delete ChatGPT. Use what works for you. But if you have not tried Grok 3 yet, you are missing out. Especially if you are a student, a content creator, or someone who uses AI tools daily but does not want to pay for a subscription.
Try it. Test it against whatever model you are currently using. Ask it the same questions and then compare the answers. I think you will be surprised.
I was.
Watch the full breakdown in my video, and if you have tried Grok 3, let me know what you think in the comments.
