They hate poetry! Really?
They hate poetry! That is a statement from English teacher Emma. She was talking to me about how students should improve their English language and she said that learners usually hate poetry because they feel like a distant reading. Poetry is an art and to build it a poet should go abroad borders and this situation induces some readers to hate it rather than enjoy it. However, you can learn English without poetry. There are many ways to get into a new language, you can listen to music and practise your listening! You can read prose books that you might think it is easier than poetry! You can watch your favourite movie and have fun! You can write a letter to a friend to practice your writing! The ways to learn English are huge! Some people struggle with grammar! Others have difficulty listening. Each person has a story with the second language. Interesting is one thing, some doubts regarding sounds like “they’re” and “their” native speakers have like foreigner speakers. That’s funny for people who have English as a second language and think that only they have questions about English. Comon! Be confident! Let’s go to be bilingual!
