Since Six Nations is going on, I thought this would be really helpful to some. Here’s a fun and extremely specific question…
Are you someone looking to impress your partner or your friends with your “rugby knowledge” and prove to them that you are a “real rugby fan? Then you have come to the right place.
First, stalk the person/people you are looking to show off your “knowledge” to. Go on their Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, whatever works and find out who they stan (is that the right term? STAN? moving on…). Once you get to know their team, do a background check on the team. Make sure you learn and remember the important stuff before you go to a game with them like, the jersey colours, the terminologies, the history of the team, OH and the jersey numbers of their favourite players…yeah that should impress them.
Don’t know where to look for your info? Don’t worry, I got you.

Okay, now that you’re done with the basic preparations, you move on to the most important part. Picking out your outfit for the game. I would suggest wearing a jersey (their favourite player’s, of course), painting your face, a vuvuzela and carrying a football. Now that should make you look like you belong.

Finally to top it all off, during the game you might want to interject a few “fun facts” about rugby, the players, the history of rugby…anything you like…the world is your oyster.
Now you are ready to go be a fake true fan. Break a leg!
