The name Cristiano Ronaldo is known worldwide as one of the best football players in the world, even by people who do not appreciate this sport. The Portuguese player achievements made him one of the main figures in the history of football, but most do not know much of the Juventus player history.
Cristiano Ronaldo (1985) is a Portuguese footballer who made history at Real Madrid. He is playing for Juventus currently. He was elected the best player in the world in 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017, and received five gold balls in his career.
He was born in Funchal, on Madeira Island, Portugal, on February 5, 1985. Son of José Diniz Pereira Aveiro and chef Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, as a child he spent most of his day playing ball in the street with the friends.
Ronaldo started his career at the age of 9 at Futebol Clube Andorinha. His ball skills sparked the interest of the biggest club on the island, Nacional, who signed him in 1995. On April 14, 1997, he took the test at Sporting, and, at the age of 11, he entered the youth league categories club. On July 13, 2002, Ronaldo joined Sporting‘s main team as a starter. From that day onwards he played more than 30 matches with the team and scored 5 goals.
In 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo caught the attention of Manchester United coach. He was hired to replace David Beckham, who was signed by Real Madrid. In 2008, after much speculation, it was Cristiano Ronaldo himself who signed for Real Madrid. His signing was the most expensive ever in the club, which had other world-class players such as Kaká, Zidane, Ronaldo, and Roberto Carlos.
In 2011, Ronaldo scored 53 goals (see all the 53 goals on the video above), a number never reached by the club during one season. On July 10, 2018, the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus was announced. His debut was on August 17 in the Italian Championship, against Chievo, but only in the fourth game, against Sassuollo, that Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal.
On his debut for the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League, against Valencia, Ronaldo was sent off in the first half after disagreements with Colombian Jeison Murillo. On January 16, 2019, Cristiano lifted the first cup with the shirt of Juventus, scoring the goal of the 2018 Italian Super Cup title, against Milan by the score of 1-0.
