Genetically Modified Foods (GM Foods) are foods produced from organisms that have had specific changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering, according to Wikipedia.
With the promotion of the development of transgenic technology and transgenic crops, genetically modified agricultural products gradually deepened people’s lives. International Agri-biotech Applications Services Organisation statistics shows that twenty-eight countries planted genetically modified crops. About 81% of the world’s soybeans, 35% of corn, and 30% of grape oil are all genetically modified. People have paid more and more attention to the safety of GM Foods.

The potential for GM Foods to cause allergic reactions is the most obvious health concern associated with these products. Specific proteins in milk, eggs, wheat, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, soybeans, and shellfish cause over 90% of food allergies. If a protein from one of these food types were to be incorporated into a food that normally would not have this protein, people who are allergic to these proteins could unknowingly consume such a food and suffer allergic reactions. The FDA has put measures into place to prevent such a scenario by requiring that each producer of a GM food product must present scientific evidence that they have not incorporated any allergenic substance into their product. If this evidence cannot be produced, the FDA requires a label to be put on the product to alert consumers.
All GM Foods should have a label on the product, which means when you buy the those foods from the supermarket you will know that it is genetically modified. In my point of view, GM Foods has violated the rules of nature, and we should have the right to reject and ban it. Do you think the same?
