Ciara Kirrane on climate change, Malawi and Irish legislation

We all know what climate change is (if you find  yourself having temporary memory loss, click here). The atmosphere is getting hotter, poles are melting and the weather systems are changing, this we can see already. However, what lies ahead we can only guess. I sat down with Ciara Kirrane from the Irish charity Trócaire to talk about the impacts of climate change she had witnessed in Malawi. The conversation then moved on to discuss what Ireland can and should do to help stop these changes and to reduce its carbon footprint.

Listen to the interview below and look at some photographs from her trip to Malawi and some other photographs taken by Trócaire of people in Malawi battling drought by building water reservoirs. For these and other Trócaire photos, click here.
