The Black Panther movie which is part of the super hero group is continuing to break box office records since it hit the theaters in February 16th 2018 ..The movie is making waves around the world for so many reasons…it is regarded as long-overdue embrace of diversity and representation.
Dublin,Ireland is also one place where the movie is getting good reviews and one comic book fanatic being Mr Akinshilo Ayomide hails the Marvel movie as one of his top 5 favourites…Ankishilo adds that, “the movie is about Prince T’Challa played by Chadwick Boseman,“he is the superhero alter ego “Black Panther”.
“In the wake of his father’s death, T’Challa returns home to the country of Wakanda, where he will take his father’s place as king. “Wakanda is a mystery to the outside world and It is an incredibly advanced country filled with technology and a rare mineral called vibranium.”So in order to protect the mineral, “Wakanda has to pretend to be a primitive nation throughout its history, hiding its advancements from the rest of the world with the aid of a force field”,says Mr Akinshilo.
According to Mr Akinshilo ”The king eats herb to make himself superhuman,hence the Black Panther,”There is so much hype about it because it is pre dominatly actors of African decent in a mavel movie and the acting is good as well from Bosnan as T’Challa,Danai Gurira as Okoye,Lupita Nyong’o,Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger amingst others.”The cinematography ,plot of the movie,fighting scenes are top notch!”
Another good part for Mr Akinshilo in the movie is the female characters that drove the plot in the movie.But for Akinshilo the underated character is Mbaku ,”he is funny and the most engaging just like what comic books are made of,”It is also the first for a Marvel movie to have the bad guy as the more dominant character,”Overall there are better superhero movies,but The Black Panther is better because of the computer generated effects,”I was directed by Ryan Coogler. I will rate it 8.9/10.
