Billie Eilish has received several Grammy awards; most recently, in the year 2020, she won four major Grammy awards in four different categories in one night, including best new artist, song of the year, record of the year, and album of the year. After Christopher Cross in 1981, she is the first in nearly four decades to win such in one night.
Billie Eilish has been struggling with her mental health since she was 13 years old, she’s suffering from depression, anxiety, and self-harm. She stated that leaving dance was the trigger of her depression. She said in an interview with Rolling Stone that she suffers from body dysmorphia when she was a competitive dancer and that her depression began when she ruptured a growth plate in her hip at the age of 13.
When comparing her album from 2019 to 2020, there is a significant difference in how she portrays herself as a bad person, but she seems angelic in 2020.
“This is my favorite thing I’ve ever made, and I am so anxious, nervous, and eager for you to hear it,” she said in an interview about her forthcoming album, which will be released on July 30th. This new release follows her debut, when we fall asleep, where do we go? For a newcomer, this was a big hit. Her new album consist of:
