There are so many stunning locations to choose from in Europe for those who are wishing to travel this Summer. With so much choice, a decision can be daunting. For those who enjoy exploring cities to those who want to relax at a beach, or those who are looking to let loose at a party destination, there’s really something for everyone. Here is a list of some of the best European destinations to choose from.

  1. The South of France

The South of France is one of Europe’s most beautiful locations. It is filled with colour and endless things to do for those of all tastes. There are so many famous locations to choose from, such as St Tropez to see the yachts, Cannes for the film festival and Monte Carlo to see the famous casino de-Monte-Carlo, where they filmed the famous James Bond film Casino Royale. You don’t even need to break the bank to visit these locations, you can stay somewhere central like Nice and take the train to these towns for a day trip. There are also beautiful coastal towns, such as Villfranche sur Mer, Cagnes sur Mer and Peillon for a closer, just as stunning trip.

2. Croatia

Croatia is a beautiful country filled with a rich history and many untouched historical buildings. There is much to do here for people of various interests, such as exploring the national park of Plitvice, the historic castle of Diocletian and stunning beaches of Dubrovnik. Croatia remains one of Europe’s most diverse countries. For those who are interested in television, you may recognise Old town, Dubrovnik, as the filming location for King’s Landing in the iconic ‘Game of Thrones’ series. Dubrovnik’s already booming tourism has grown greatly because of this show’s popularity, with many coming to see where the outdoor scenes were filmed.

3. Ibiza

Europe’s most iconic party island, this is where people go to unwind and let loose. It is famous for its vibrant night clubs and unique hotels. People travel from all over the world to experience life on this tiny Balearic island. Because of its small size, it’s easy to do everything on your wish list, whether that be partying at the nightclubs which are frequented by world famous djs Calvin Harris and David Guetta or lounging by the pool. But Ibiza is not just for those who want to party, those who want a relaxing time can enjoy the nice scenery, explore old town and lie on the sandy beaches.

4. Barcelona

A city and a beach holiday rolled into one, Barcelona is one of the most popular destinations in Europe for a reason. It is home to some of the finest architecture in the world in the form of the La Sagrada Familia, which has been under construction for 140 years so far and is scheduled to be completed in 2026. It is filled with parks that are sure to delight, such as Park Guell and Ciutadella park, both of which are not only breathtaking, but affordable. It is incredibly popular among football fans, who can visit Camp Nou, the famous football stadium. If you want a break from sightseeing, you can always shop around the city or relax on the beach.

5. Prague

Not everyone wants to spend their Summer holiday on the beach or by a pool, and that’s ok! Some people want to take this time to get away from this scene. For those, Prague is perfect. Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, is a scenic city with an old school feel, which makes it so popular. Its top sites include Prague Castle, several cathedrals and Old Town Square. Don’t be fooled by the rustic buildings however, Prague is known for its vibrant nightlife and active clubs, which themselves draw many tourists per year. There is a reason it is such a popular bachelor/bachelorette party location.
