The make-up demo

During each step of the make-up demo Ariane explained exactly what products she was using on Louise and the benefits it can provide. For the base she used one of the newest editions to the brand, the Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation. Ariane says with this foundation, “Your natural skin tone shines through”. She continued to inform the attendees that Becca Cosmetics is “keen on finding shades for everyone” and talks about inclusivity within the brand. Here’s an article that explores BECCA Cosmetics’ inclusivity in more depth.
Becca Cosmetics is best known for their skin products, especially when it comes to highlighters. They have produced both pressed and liquid forms to suit all skin types. Their pressed highlighter Champagne Pop is considered a cult product for beauty lovers all around the world. Louise says, “The first highlighter I bought was Champagne Pop. It’s natural and builds well into the skin.”
What makes their highlighters stand out from other brands is all down to the ingredients and how they’re made, “They’re infused with crushed pearl and the powder and liquid are baked together,” says Ariane. She recommends the liquid highlighter the Shimmering Skin Perfector for dry skin and also as a body highlighter during the summer for an all body glow. See the short clip below for the liquid highlighter in Champagne Pop in action.

Ariane finished the natural, effortless glowy look with bronzer used as eyeshadow and some highlight, she says that with BECCA Cosmetics products “no matter how much product you put on, you’ll look natural.” After the make-up look was complete, attendees got the opportunity to talk to the expert make-up artist while Louise chatted away to the beauty lovers giving her recommendations on what to purchase.
Louise’s tips and tricks
Her favourite BECCA Cosmetics product is the skin perfecting liquid highlighter “I use it as a primer and a highlighter”.
For a night out, her go to look is, “Kind of natural, with eyeliner. I up the shade of foundation to match my tan. I add glitter to the eyes and more highlight.”
Louise emphasizes how important it is to prep your skin before you apply make-up, “I’m strict with my skincare routine”. She highly recommends serum, and says that “its the only product you can put on as much as you want” and she notices a difference to her skin since incorporating it into her routine.
