Over the Easter weekend, I was fortunate enough to go to Paris with my mom and enjoy a weekend with her. Over the four days I was there, I experienced so many sights and beautiful memories that I hope to keep with me forever.

Friday:

I arrived late on Thursday night, so Friday was my first full day in the city. My mom and I began at Passager for breakfast, where I experienced the greatest breakfast sandwich known to man. We followed it up with a long walk across the Seine and to the Eiffel Tower. Later that night, we went on a river cruise on the Seine and experienced the Eiffel Tower lit up, which was an amazing opportunity.

Saturday:

Saturday, we saw lots of animals in the city, especially dachshunds, which were cute because my parents have one back home! We spent a lot of this day roaming the streets and museums, with my favourite being Musee Carnavalet in the Marais, as well as the Picasso Museum. Of all the days with my mom, I think this day was my favourite, and I am glad the weather was so nice the entire time we were there.

Sunday:

On Sunday, we spent the day exploring the city and got a drink together at Chet Magot before we headed to Plaza Athenee for an early dinner. The people watching here were extraordinary, as was the neighbourhood the Plaza was in. I had one of the best burgers and margaritas here, which I will dream of for the rest of my time. A pickle margarita is top tier, and I will be spending time trying to recreate it!

Monday:

My last day in Paris. This morning, my mom left bright and early for her flight back to Toronto, so I had the entire day to myself before I left at 10 pm. This day I took the metro across the city and explored the different arrondissements, walked along the Seine, and took the bus to the Champs Élysées, which was a lovely way to end my trip. Having this day to myself was one of the highlights of my trip, as I enjoy solo travelling and like to enjoy at my own pace.

I had not seen my mom since Christmas, so this was a really fun trip for us, as we have never spent a lot of time just the two of us. I am so fortunate to have experienced these few days with her and will forever remember this trip. Enjoy a Spotify episode below of what I was up to in Paris this weekend, what I bought, and a rundown on my favourite vintage stores and how they differ from those I grew up with in Toronto.
