A trip to the Heart Shaped Lake

Just under an hour’s drive from Dublin, on the old Military Road is Glenmacnass Waterfall. Above it, a tough but worthwhile climb to the summit of Tonelagee, (Which is loosely translated from the Irish ‘Tóin le Gaoith’, meaning “Arse to the Wind” ) offers a beautiful view overlooking Lough Ouler or ‘The Heart Shaped Lake’.
