Mortal Kombat movie takes top spot in theaters

After over 20 years sub-zero and scorpion are still fighting each other spoiler alert, the movie Mortal Kombat is now showing in theaters and on HBO Max.

Since the release of the series version of the movie in 1995, it has set a high standard for adaptations that support and expand on its source material.

As a result, Mortal Kombat, the latest revival of the film series based on the recent video games, must not only be a decent film, but it must also outperform the original film, which is basically the core of the series – a tournament fought between various worlds to determine the winner.

The film, which began as a video game in many people’s childhoods, took the top spot in theaters last weekend and has earned more than $28.4 million since its release on April 23,2021.
