Greystones is located in the heart of County Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland. It is a town with a village to it. Greystones may have gotten bigger over the years with more houses and other developments being built however, it still has the small-town feel to it from years ago.
Greystones is the last stop on the DART line out of Dublin as you head south and is extremely picturesque and features a very nice beach and the Greystones to Bray cliff walk is a must for anyone who is a keen walker or who is a keen walker enjoys being outdoors.
Greystones is also a good location for the coffee avid coffee drinker as there is COSTA Coffee, Homan’s, Eleven Deli, Mrs. Robinson’s, Mooch, The Happy Pear which has been featured on Irish TV, on the radio, and in newspapers. The harbour in Greystones recently underway a multi-million-euro redevelopment which saw houses, apartments and a new marina built in the town and while many locals don’t like the look of it, it has become a favorite spot for people to walk to as it is a way to get to and from the cliff walk.
The train station is ideally located right in the center of the town with everything within walking distance. The south beach is a lovely spot to sit by while the north beach has nice areas to swim from and just off the north beach is a park while a short distance from the south beach is the main park in Greystones which is a lovely spot to relax particularly when the weather is nice.
