Metropolis Festival was back in the RDS (Royal Dublin Society) over the weekend for the 3rd year running and this year it was bigger and better than ever.

The Circular went along to check out Dublin’s first indoor Winter festival and put together a short video of some of the highlights from the weekend.

With tickets selling out over a week before the festival took place they were like gold to find. Acts such as Jungle, Booka Brass and Krystal Klear took to the stage over the weekend.

TLC, 90s R&B girl group from the US were set to headline the festival for their first ever Irish gig but pulled out weeks before due to member T-Boz (Tionne Watkins) suffering a neck injury, much to the disappointment of the festival goers.

Anna Fox, who has attended the festival for the last three years since it began in 2015 said this year was the biggest she has seen it.

All six stages were great, the industries hall was definitely my favourite though with the ‘sing-along social‘ bringing the old school tunes back and getting everyone involved.

Highlights of the weekend included Todd Terje closing the show on Sunday who returned for a second year as he also took to the stage in 2015.

Bingo Loco in the industries hall got the crowd involved again with an alternative way to bring bingo into the lives of festival goers.
