It was another great win for Griffith!

There was in total 30 baskets from Kelsey Carey and 22 baskets from Kristine Miller. There were some great rebounds from Sindhuri Shastri. 2 baskets from Ashley Callery and 4 baskets from Lauren Egan.

With multiple 3 pointers from the American scholars from LYIT. They really made a big impact on the team this year racking up points in multiple games this year. The game was action-packed from start to finish.

Faith Welch and Mackenzie Burud arrived from the US to continue studies in LYIT they helped beat Griffith College in the Division 2 Superleague championships the other month.

The Griffith team were heartbroken.  Lauren Egan from Griffith College said ”We didn’t play our best game but we are playing LYIT again in Limerick at varsities and we are ready, we want to win this time.”

That is just what Griffith did. They didn’t miss any free shots, they got some superb layups and their defence was phenomenal.

Griffith later on in the day, had to prepare to play Trinity college. The suspense was growing for Griffith to see if they would get into the finals.

And the Women’s Division B semi finals have been set:UCD faces UL, while Griffith College Dublin will take on Trinity, both games tip at 6pm 🏀🏀🏀 #Varsities
