Soundtracks are the essence of zoning into the environment. Heavily used to personify a situation, often in movies where intense scenes, relaxing moments and heart wrenching climaxes are made memorable by the music that accompanies them.

Video games are no different from this fact. In fact, video gamers often relate a lot of video games by the soundtracks used, as it often brings to them a sense of nostalgia.

Mario: Mario’s opening level has the iconic track “Ground Theme” one that is known worldwide and most memorable to gamer all over the globe. It was made by Composer Mr. Koji Kondo and has been described by him as the one that took the most time to make. When you hear the tune playing anywhere however you as the gamer are instantly transported to the Super Mario World.

Minecraft: Minecraft has instrumental calming ambient music that resonates with the environment of the game which has creation at the core of its principles, if gamers wanted to relax after a long day’s work and feel calm and rested while doing so, Minecraft’s music created by composer C418 (Daniel Rosenfeld) helped them achieve just that by his masterpieces in Minecraft.

Final Fantasy VII: When it comes to great video game soundtracks it is almost certain that final fantasy VII’s multi-faceted soundtrack will show up in the list. The tracks composed by Nobuo Uematsu for the series have been remarkably well received by gamers who are familiar with Square Enix’s project. But the one track that has been praised several times is “one winged angel”.

The Witcher 3: When it comes to hunting fabled creatures as the witcher the soundtrack that comes to mind is often associated with the protagonist “Geralt of Rivia”. The Witcher series has won many accolades over the years and is generally critically praised by its followers and fans for being one of the best games ever made. Composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz, Mikołaj Stroiński,  the soundtracks surely transport gamers into the zone of the wildlands of The Witcher 3.

God of war 4: God of war as a series started in the tragic story of gamer’s beloved “Kratos” as he slashed his way through all of the Greek panthea of gods. Hence, it has been a welcome transformation to see the anguished young Kratos, calming his nerves and transforming himself into a responsible Father to a young boy. The soundtrack composed by Bear McCreary has a complete range from Krato’s presence to a sense of the surrounding in the Norse land.
