Sichuan left devastated as earthquake strikes

Sichuan has been struck with an earthquake that has left devastating results. The frightening reports tell us that 188 deaths are known. rescue workers are trying endlessly to reach remote areas that have been touched. 11,500 people have  been injured. Hospitals are manic and the after shock has contributed to slow progression as well as the bad weather. Police and soldiers are attempting there best rescue services to restore and help with the tragic aftermath.

The incident happened at 8.02 local time and the quake measured 6.6. Casualties have been prevented on exiting from small villages in mountains so rescue teams have gone on foot. Peoples lively hoods have been left tarnished and with little hope of a quick recovery as a vast amount of farms which grow rice and vegetables were destroyed.

The fact that it was a Saturday thankfully prevented some deaths as children were not in school. But the reality it would seem is that many collapsed buildings could be a result of the local governments bad planning policies. This tragic event has left bitter and upsetting memories for all involved and the whole country. The incident is not as extreme as the 08 earthquake that hit Sichuan which left 87,000 dead has left people utterly devastated.
