The annual Guinness Book of Records is the kind of surprisingly good present you may get from your least favourite uncle’s second wife who you only see on Christmas or a wedding. And probably a funeral too, though I’ve never been to one in my 23 years, in fact no one in any generation of my family either side (a mother’s or father’s) has died since 1998. That has got to be some Guinness Book of Records in itself.

Anyway, I have it. Well, my little brother has it so I took it for an hour in front of the tv watching Real Sociedad – Barcelona match on a nice, quiet Sunday night and decided to look through it. So here are my Top 9 Wow facts and/or records. Yes, not the top 5 or 10 or 25 or 50. But the Top 9. To make this article more unique and do it my way; here they are –

(There is no order of any description to this – in truth it’s just random stats I’ve bothered to read as I rummaged through the book)
