After the attacks that hit Paris on Friday 13th November 2015, the French community living in Dublin were quick to organised a march to commemorate the victims of the attacks.

Just before before midnight during the night between the 13th and the 14th a Facebook event was set up by French woman residing in Dublin.

The march was set to start at the Spire then cross the Liffey through O’Connell Bridge,  Westmoreland Street, Nassau Street, Kildare Street and finally stop at Leinster House.

1.500 were “attending” the event on Facebook and 1.400 were “interested” in coming. I would say there was around 3.000 to 3.500 people marching.

The crowd went silence for a few minutes, then people were singing the French national anthem “La Marseillaise”. There was a long round of applause then the crowd slowly dispersed.
