Sarah Downes, the face behind the very successful and inspiring instagram account, Dublin is Black and White conveys her huge passion for photography with her eye-catching masterpieces.
From capturing amazing views of the capital on the sunniest of days, to exploring the beautiful intimacy of an un-posed photograph, this account has gone from strength to strength.
Originally using a mobile phone to document her monochrome findings, Sarah now uses both a camera and her phone to showcase Dublin at its finest.
Speaking to The Circular, Sarah explained that tone of the reasons why her followers jumped to over 15,000 is seeing the sheer raw element to the photos. Each photo is caught in that exact moment, proving the age old saying that a picture really does paint a thousand words.
Dublin is Black and White has a weekly Friday Feature, where followers can submit their black and white photos to be in with a chance of making it onto the main page.

‘I began this instagram account to share my own photos with my friends and family, however, to my huge surprise, it turned out that many more people from all over the world shared my interest too!’
