So if many people are similar to myself when it comes to books they’ll have stumbled upon last summer best seller Gone GirlOn route to my holiday I pick up whatever is number 1 ion the airports W.H Smith’s bookstands. But last Summer’s book was different. I didn’t partake in my usual read half the book and by the end of the Holiday not know where it is… This time  I actually read it. and wait for it… Finished it.

Yes. It is that good! From start to finish I could not put it down. and the worst part was that the whole time I was itching to jump ahead, dying to find out what happens. Gillian Flynn’s thrilling dramatic novel had me staying up till all hours trying to finish this book.

It is the tale of a young man and woman who fall in love and get married. One day Nick, (husband), wakes up to find his beautiful wife Amy is missing. The book is divided into her diary and the current events, going back fourth through time. It is done so brilliantly that you won’t even notice yourself reading half the thing in one sitting.

Wihtout giving too much away there is a twist in store that only those who read it will get to find out about. For those who opt not to all I can offer you is this fantastic trailer of the upcoming film of the best selling novel. The film stars Oscar winner Ben Affleck  along side Rosamund Pike, Emily Ratajkowski and How I met your mother star Neil Patrick Harris .

September 2014 can’t come quick enough…
