Next Sunday, on the 24th April 2016 the whole country have to complete the form of the Census of Population of Ireland 2016.
According to the CSO (Central Statistics Office), it is the 25th census to be held in Ireland since 1841. The results of the Census will help future planning and studies to understand the social and living conditions in Ireland.
Following the Notice under section 26 of the Statistics Act 1993. The Census is being taken under the Statistics (Census of Population) Order 2015. Under Sections 26 and 27 of Statistics Act 1993, everybody is obliged by law to complete and return the census form. So, Don’t Forget it! Because according to the information provided on the form, anyone who fails or refuses to provide this information ow knowingly provides false information may be subject to a fine of up to €44,440.
The Census form has to be completed by the householder of any adult member of the household present on the night of Sunday 24 April. The forms will be collected by the census member between Monday 25 April and Monday 23 May.
