People are always in love with their pets. Sometimes some more than others. But, let’s face it, there are some little fluffy animals that deserve all the love a person can give. However, cat lovers sometimes go beyond the normal love.

For some, cats are the perfect creatures. They are soft, independent and will love you unconditionally. But, despite all their independence, cat owners will never leave their babies unattended. Therefore they will need the help of another cat lover.

Cat in a flat is a trusted cat-sitting network were owners can find a person who loves cats and is trusted to take care of them while they are away. On the other hand, catsitters can have the opportunity to get paid doing what they love, cuddling with fluffy kitties.

Being cat owner themselves, Julie Barnes and Kathrin Burckhardt launched this project on October 1st, 2014 to provide the best way to book a trusted cat sitter near your place. The service is now available in Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and the UK. And as a start-up, Cat in a flat became the winner of the BIMA Awards 2016 as Start-up of the year in the UK.

“I don’t do it because of the money … I do it because I like spending time with cats”, says Mari Carmenate in an interview for the Circular. She has been cat sitting for a week and has already had three wonderful experiences with three lovely cats. A cat sitter service might be either a drop-in or house sitting service from 6 in Ireland for a drop-in service day is the lowest fee you can find.

She has her personal web page at Cat in a flat, where she can post her experience with cats. She also has an insurance cover in case anything happens to the cat or the flat. Later on, she will get a review from the cat owners so she can have more cats to take care of.

For all crazy cat lovers, this is the perfect opportunity not only to make a little bit of money but, also pet one of these furry animals. As Sigmund Freud said, “Time spent with cats is never wasted.”
