2016 saw revivals and reboots of beloved TV shows; The X Files, Full House and The Gilmore Girls. In 2017 we can look forward to to a reimagined; Beauty and the Beast, Jumanji and Blade Runner.

But what shows have been overlooked?! Here are our endorsements for a big budget makeover!

Captain Planet

The Planeteers have not combined the elements of Earth, Air, Wind, Water and Heart to battle villains since the 1990’s. Who could forget when they traveled to Northern Ireland during The Troubles to promote peace and love? In this time of global political uncertainty, we think Captain Planet and the Planeteers are just what the doctor ordered!

Love Is The Drug

This 2005 farcical drama was Irish television at its best. The show followed the life of Drogheda family,  The Kirwans and featured early appearances by Irish stars Ruth Negga and Allen Leech. With the more recent success of shows such as Love/Hate & Striking Out, perhaps the time has come to reboot this classic?

Round The Twist

The fantasy adventure series Round the Twist last graced our screens in 2001 and left every child wishing they grew up in a lighthouse. The award winning show featured arguable one of the most memorable theme songs. We vote Taylor Swift provides the updated version!
