Who doesn’t love a flea market bargain? It’s good for your bank account, the environment AND it’s the perfect time killer for rainy days (there are quite a few here… ) as some of the flea markets are held inside. Next to clothes, handmade goods and other precious things, there is tons of food – brownies, sandwiches, cake…ok I ll stop right there and tell you the most important thing: where?! Well, there are a lot of flea markets in the Dublin area, but to make it a bit easier for you, I picked out some of my personal favourites. Check them out below! Happy bargain hunting everyone! 🙂
The Bernard Shaw Flea Market
Relatively small but with a nice athmosphere, is the Bernard Shaw Flea Market. Happening every Saturday from 1 till 6 PM, you have loads of time to stroll through the pub‘s backyard and enjoy a pizza from the Big Blue Bus while listening to a live DJ. Here you can find everything from vinyl to vintage and jewellery.
The Dublin Flea Market
This market offers everything from clothes to furniture! There are loads of stalls run by professionals or private sellers, looking to sell their vintage treasures. The Dublin Flea Market is only happening on the last Sunday of every month from 11 – 5PM. You better bring enough time (and money) to explore the different areas.
Smithfield Market Fair
Once every month, no set date, the Smithfield Market Fair offers a wide range from installations to music and food. They also support a lot of organic and vegan traders! On a sunny day, you can take a walk trough the lovely Smithfield area or pop into the Dublin Vintage Factory next door, if you feel like getting your hands on more vintage goods.
2nd Saturday Market
This market is, as the name gives it away, on every second Saturday of the month! Fun filled indoor market,to explore local designers, perfect for one of those rainy days. You can find it at the chocolate factory creative community Dublin.
If you are new to Dublin or just visiting, here’s a map to help you get around, with even more Flea Markets, that didn’t make the list 🙂
Feel free to post your favourites in the comment section and I will add them to the list 🙂
