The international brand is known for their iconic collections with various designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Matthew Williamson and Stella McCartney, but most recently Versace, Maison Martin Margiela and Isabel Marant.
The trouble is, all collections are limited edition which means unless you have the time and patience to spend hours in the queue before opening day, or have the cash to purchase over-priced pieces on Ebay – you won’t get a sniff.
The young designer, who’s also the creative director of Balenciaga, will create a collection of men’s and women’s clothing as well as accessories. He announced the news on Instagram this morning with this video:
The designer then added:
I am honoured to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to pushing boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.
H&M’s creative adviser, Margareta van den Bosch, said of the news:
Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today. He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year.
The collection will be unveiled on November 6th.
