1. Paris Syndrome

Paris Syndrome is a syndrome about expectations. Why is it that generally Japanese people suffer from this? They read so much in magazines and see the fantasy Paris on TV. As first time tourists their expectations are so high. However, when they visit the real city, they are getting in depression. In fact, the Japanese Embassy in Paris has set up a 24 hours telephone helpline for citizens in need.

2. Jerusalem Syndrome

After visiting Jerusalem, some tourists start to believe that they are religious leaders. The interesting thing is that it is not connected with a single religion or denomination. Jews, Christians, Muslims or people from other different religious backgrounds have been known to catch this syndrome.

3. The Walking Deads

The Walkind Dead; Isn’t this like the famous TV show name? This condition is medically known as Cotard Delusion. It is a rare mental illness. These people believe that they have already died.

4. Is love a sickness? 

Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and falling in love have the same effect on the human body.

5. Nomophobia

The fear of losing your mobile phone connectivity has been transformed into a phobia. It is known as Nomophobia.
