Save the Church Lane is a campaign taking place at the moment in Letterkenny, County Donegal. The campaign has garnered over 1,900 likes on Facebook and has proven very popular in Donegal.

The aim of the campaign is to regenerate the Church Lane area of the town. The old buildings on the lane have become dilapidated and overgrown over time and pose a hazard to the public.

Church Lane has great potential and this campaign aims to develop a tourist area similar to that of Shop Street in Galway. It is hoped that the lane can be pedestrianized and local businesses will be set up; thus creating jobs as well as a tourist area. The redevelopment of the area has already begun, with areas overgrown being cleared by volunteers and a committee has been set up.
